Seniors' Retrospective

My experience at Texas State was amazing. I will always be grateful for the opportunity to play baseball in college and earn a degree. I have also been blessed to meet lifelong friends and create memories I will remember forever.

San Marcos and Texas State baseball will always have a special place in my heart. This season has been remarkable. I am glad to be apart of such a historic team. There is no better feeling than to go out a champion.

Being born and raised in San Marcos made playing baseball at Texas State a dream of mine growing up. Attending games and camps throughout my childhood, the desire to be a Bobcat continued to grow. Fast forward to my junior year of high school, with the help of coach [Ty] Harrington and [Steven] Trout, I was able to turn those dreams to a reality.

Being a Bobcat turned out to be better than I could have ever imagined. The past five years have been a blessing, not only developing as a player but also as a man. San Marcos will continue to be home to me and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this program and university.”

My dream was always to play college baseball and Texas State gave me that opportunity. When Ty Harrington was here, he offered me a scholarship and coach [Steven] Trout recruited me. I will always be thankful for those men for what they have done for me.

As far as developing on the baseball field and in life, I can’t thank them enough. Growing up in West Texas, I had no clue San Marcos existed. I show up here and it ended up being a dream spot for me. It is like a vacation every day. I could not have asked for a better sport, university, or people around me. Love what these past five years have meant to me, and I wish forever that I could keep on playing here.

Texas State baseball means a lot to me. Over the past five years, I’ve made some of the best friends that I will ever have my entire life. Had a great coach in TY [Ty Harrington] for the first two years and he will always be in my life because he is a big role model for me and has been upper close with me and my parents throughout some hard times. With Trout coming in being the head coach after my sophomore year, he’s taken on that role. He has been amazing with me, my parents, and my family.

Texas State has been absolutely fantastic. Within baseball, I got to say with Matthew Nicholas and my two roommates, Wesley Faison and John Wuthrich, those guys have been my best friends throughout these five years. It is going to be pretty hard to not live with those guys after half a decade. It has meant the world to me playing baseball here.
